We made a short trip to Rarotonga beginning of December. Just 4 days, but had some nice diving, snorkelling and a bit of sun ;) To anyone who has been to Rarotonga before 2012: They finally dropped their stupid departure tax! It’s now included with every international ticket.

Cook Islands (or rather Rarotonga) is about 4.5 hours by plane from Auckland. Air New Zealand and Pacific Blue sometimes have specials and sell tickets for as low as NZ$99 – one way.
